About the series: RAVINIA DISTRICT, HIGHLAND PARK, IL (APRIL 2017) – The Ravinia District of Highland Park is pleased to announce its new weekly event ‘Ravinia District Food Truck Thursdays.’ Food Truck Thursdays will kick off in June and run through mid September The public is invited to come and enjoy a wide variety of food and drinks from more than a dozen food trucks and local restaurants while enjoying live outdoor musical performances. Food Truck Thursdays will begin at 4:30 p.m. each week and end at dusk, on Dean Avenue between Roger Williams and St. Johns Avenues, and in Jens Jensen Park, across from the Ravinia Metra Station. Free parking is available. Stop by on your way to Ravinia Festival, or come for an evening of live music and fabulous food. Dine al fresco at picnic benches in Jens Jensen Park, or bring a folding chair or picnic blanket.
